Carissa Moore’s Childhood Carissa Moore was born on a summer day in 1992. Growing up in Hawaii, she had constant exposure to surf culture. Her father, Chris Moore, introduced her to surfing at just a few years old. Together they spent endless sessions riding waves. These early experiences helped build her confidence.
